The Mobile Revolution

I got an SMS this afternoon from my bank to inform me that they are not longer carrying through with phone banking opting for the Smart Phone revolution, forcing people to have to obtain a new phone with smart phone capabilities if they with to keep a mobile track of their finances. There is another option to have balances TXT to them but they have to remember to put in the correct codes, so not only do you have to remember you card number and password you have to remember a code word, I call BULLSHIT on this, its ridiculous to think that they are cutting out, and then give people less than a week to get yourself organised.

Sunday morning

How times have changed as a child I used to climb out of bed, creep down the the loungeroom and watch cartoons. As a teenager I would stay in bed as long as possible and read, mostly books but whatever was at hand. As a young adult living in Sydney I would walk to the bakery in the wee small hours of the morning get some croissants and the Sydney morning herald and read eat and drink French coffee. That gave way to stumbling home on a Sunday morning after partying all night. Today i'm heading home after spending another Saturday night working the night shift. Oh how times ahve changed.

I'm not that belligerent!

I listen to the conquests of my friends and it has recently occured to me that I am grossly out of date in the matters of dating and hooking up. Ten years ago when I was on the meat market we didn't have pre shot penile pictures on our mobile phones if we showed somone our body it was in private and it meant something. Nowadays people have a variety of pictures available, is this because they have so little regard for their bodies that they feel that they body is public domain or is it that they have so much regard for themselves they feel they should be seen by one and all. I'm just not that belligerent I have done it once and felt so ashamed and then I found out that that person was out on a date with someone that I know I felt so cheap. As far as I am concerned I will never speak to him again I won't subject myself to any more humiliation from him - sleazy got. No one tells you that dating changes with technology. I really am lost in the way of the world. Any tips dear reader???

In over my head

The words connect us, I write them and you let them wash over you, cleansing your soul and quenching the thirst of my knowledge. With every drop I become dry, my tears creating an ocean. And I'm in over my head again. I see your face, gasp for air and swallow my own tears in the process. I no longer fall in love with I drown in the unknown.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

So yeah, I'm moving house this week. Couple of things about the new place...
* I have yet to see inside
* The rent is 33% more than the one I currently live in
* It is closer to the city
* There are no wardrobes
* The hallway is L shaped and quite large
* It has wood all the way through

So I know a bit about my new place but it worries me that I havn't seen it.

Alice In Wonderland

I saw Tim Burton's new creation 'Alice in Wonderland' and loved it. It was another triumph for the dynamic duo of Elfman and Burton. Not only was it visually stunning but it had a soundtrack that audio magic. Certain people I know won't enjoy it because it is a reconstruction of a great peice of classic literature. This is a reimagining of a beautiful fable asking the question... "what would happen if it was all real?"
